Take a step back from your pile of plans and assumptions. Locate your learners. Engage in conversation and user testing. Repeat as needed.
Learning design is often not a simple line from point A to point B. Honest conversation with our learners during development can clear the path for a well-informed, iterative process that leads to a quality learning experience. Facilitating authentic, interactive instruction and building learner community benefits all involved from young to old, classroom to corporate. This is what draws me to instructional design!
With my unique worldview in one hand and my varied creative skills in the other, I'm hooked on orchestrating rich learning experiences both online and off. I seek an instructional graphic design position with a collaborative, learner-focused team that will allow me to lean in and produce knockout materials.
