When one of my grad course design teams chose Aussie, my cockatiel, as our mascot I knew I was looking at an excellent logo opportunity! We wanted a distinctive and quirky yet polished look to give our deliverables that extra touch. Bistro Script from Adobe fonts offered an attractive base for altered type. The real star is of course the image of Aussie himself, whose bright and talkative personality inspired this homage!

Once the logo was complete it was imported into After Effects and given a brisk animation to serve as an introduction to our team's design presentation. Human created & cockatiel approved!

The TEACH: Centering Culture online training needed a facelift from its former iteration. Our team chose a bright sunset palette at the request of the educators, including a bright turquoise - culturally significant to Native American tribes described within the training. The four-sided infinite knot featured in the logo is also found in Native American art, and variations of it are found in cultures across the world. In addition to this meaningful logo, I also designed a character set for this course to add a visual human aspect. To see more of this work, check out the full project description here!

A bright team deserves a bright logo! My partners in the Intuit creative experience (found in my instructional design section) always went the extra mile to make our work shine, so what better way to polish our product than with a standout splash of color?

Custom icons for Pano2VR

Context

While transitioning geology field trips to online format in Pano2VR, professors and learning designers at Weber State University found that the default icons within the app did not represent some of the actions they needed. I was tasked with creating easily recognizable icons related to specific commands and resources within these virtual tours. Above is a selection from the full set. Professors chose the school's deep purple and accent lavender for this set.

While working on the Lucidchart Learning Center project (found in my instructional design section), our partners chose a unique team name so I decided to create a logo to give our submitted materials a look which is both professional and whimsical.
